There is a fun game I have played with my kids since they were very young, and it is called "Did You Know?".
I would say the phrase in a long, drawn out voice while stretching, and state some question with a simple answer... and then attack them with tickling fingers and raspberries. Just the mention of that phrase still gets them all riled up to this very day! It is interesting, the things we sometimes randomly learn that we never knew before... and you can't explain why you didn't already know it! Puts a whole new meaning to the "Did You Know?" question. I think my daughter corrects me, or teaches me something "new" every week. Did ya know? Did you know where the word "s*%t" (yes, that half of us shriek at hearing, and the other half think it is someones name...) came from? Interesting story, glad you asked! Back in the times of shipping goods on the rivers of this great country on steam boats, cow manure was commonly stored below deck for transport. Well, one fine night, someone lit a cigar in close proximity to the open door to this storage area, and KABOOM!!! Methane was ignited and it blew the ship sky high. It was then figured to make certain poop was not shipped below deck, but above deck... or, "Ship High In Transit"!! Hence, the anagram that has forever changed the world... S.H.I.T. No... I did not tell that one to my kids, thank you! Did you know, that all the world's discovered gold in history would only fill up three Olympic sized swimming pools? Now you do... Fun stuff, right? I mean, who doesn't like learning crazy stuff like that? It's the stuff you didn't know that has cost you money for years that kills you when you find out. We all knew the person in high school that got the cool car, and yet never seemed to understand that changing your oil was to be done every 3000 or so miles... they "find out" 50,000 miles later, and the car is an effective pile of... well, S.H.I.T. Finding out about that simple investment from years ago that you passed on... or finding out that your house is improperly ventilated, and the 175 degree heat in the attic has ruined your shingles, and your home, and cost you hundreds per year in energy costs?? HORRIBLE! Inexplic......... What... you never heard that one? It is the most common of roof problems with box vents, static vents, "power" vents, turtle vents.... they don't work!!! Don't get caught in the dark again (if your energy bill keeps going up, you just might...). Call Rampart Roofing today, and let us explain how ventilation is supposed to work for you... not against you. Did ya know?? Rampart Roofing of Frisco, Tx 214-449-5037
